The Nativity Student Leadership Team organized a Lenten service project. Students in grades 4-8 brought in items to make sandwiches for the "363 Project". It is called that because most food is donated on Thanksgiving and Christmas! 363 helps provide food for the homeless and hungry the remaining 363 days of the year. With all the donations, students brought in 57 loaves of bread, 66 pounds of lunch meat, and 350 slices of cheese. With these donations we were able to make over 600 sandwiches! Grades 1-3 also brought in supplies and filled Easter eggs with candy and a note. These will be distributed with the sandwiches to homeless around the Twin Cities tonight. An additional contribution of 2 cases of Girl Scout cookies was made by a Nativity Girl Scout troop. Thank you to all who generously supported the 363 project.
