Hello Nativity Families and Happy Halloween!
The weather has certainly gotten colder recently and it is clear a change in seasons is upon us. With that change in seasons comes our annual Rake-a-thon next Saturday, November 9 from 9:00 am – 12:00pm. Each year, the students and their families from
Nativity go out into the community and help rake leaves for homes that have requested assistance. It is a great way to have a good time and meet other Nativity families and members of our Bloomington community. It is also a valuable lesson we can give to our children about the value of service and walking in Jesus’ footsteps. We have many yards to rake and could still use more volunteers. If you are interested in participating in this great service project, please contact Mrs. Hagerty in the school office!
Be kind. Be brave. Believe!
WELCOME NEW PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR
We would like to welcome Patty Fyksen who has been hired as out preschool coordinator. Patty will be here one day per week to assist with administrative duties as well as working with our preschool staff to ensure excellence. Patty introduces herself below:
My name is Patty Fyksen and I have recently joined Nativity as the Preschool Coordinator. My husband Brent and I live in North St Paul, with our four girls and two dogs! Being busy at home is just the beginning, as I also own a childcare and have had over 23 years of professional experience with children from multiple age groups and within very diverse surroundings. My education and experiences have proven useful to successfully open my licensed childcare and maintain full enrollment for the past 10 years and I am eager to assist the preschool program here in any way possible! I have already enjoyed working with and getting to know the preschool team and look forward to improving the program where possible as well as making wonderful relationships with many families and teachers along the way.
VEAP DONATIONS
Each week students are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to Mass to donate to the VEAP and St Vincent DePaul food shelf. Thank you for your generosity!
FUNERAL LUNCH MINISTRY Dear Beloved School Families, We are in need of developing a new system to help us get desserts and salads for our funeral luncheons. Here is what our Pastoral Council has suggested and I need your help to make it a reality. If you are willing to make a dessert or a salad for 16 persons when a funeral comes in please email me and we will put your name on a list. and then drop off what you said you would bring the day of the funeral at the parish office close to 9:30 am when you are dropping your kids off for school. God bless, |
