What are the hours of the school day?
Our school day starts at 9:30 AM and goes until 4:00 PM. We also have options for Extended Care that can extend those hours before and after school.
Are you in-person learning?
YES! Our students are required to temperature check upon arrival to the school building and throughout the day. Our class sizes have been reduced to allow for proper desk spaces. We have limited hallway traffic by having students keep items at theirs desks. Masks are required. Social distancing is required.
Are students required to wear masks?
Yes. Our K-8 students are required to wear masks throughout their day with the exception of eating or drinking while distanced from others.
Our Pre-K students are required to wear masks when in any spaces shared with other grade (hallways and entrances) but are not required to wear masks when in their classrooms.
What is the cost of tuition?
For one student in K-8 grade the tuition comes our to $5,350. But a full breakdown can be found on our Tuition page. We have monthly payment plans as well as scholarships available.
What are class sizes?
Nativity of Mary maintains low class sizes. Kindergarten classrooms are capped at 20 students in a classroom. Grades 1-8 have a maximum class size of 25 and average anywhere between 13-20 students in a classroom.
How do I get enrolled?

Is there bussing available?
Yes! We have FREE bussing available through Bloomington Public Buses.
Student’s must live within the Bloomington city limits and be at least 4 years old to qualify for bussing.
How often do the students attend Mass?
Our students attend mass once a week (Thursdays at 9:45 AM).
Is there a way my student can stay beyond regular school hours?

Is there a School Nurse on staff?
Yes, our school has a health office and a Registered Nurses on staff throughout the school day. Our nurse, Mrs. Rodier, helps children who feel unwell, manages children that obtain minor injuries, administer medication to children who have special health care needs, helps manage food allergies and coordinate the vision and hearing screenings.
Are students required to wear a uniform?
Students are required to be in uniform every day unless otherwise stated. Please visit our Uniform page to learn more.
We do have the opportunity to use out of uniform passes. These are given out on a reward basis or as a fundraising item. You can purchase an out of uniform pass in the office for $5.
Students are required to be in uniform on Student Mass days (Thursday).
Is additional language learning offered?
Students 6th – 8th take Spanish.
